    Pro/ENGINEER Expert MoldBase Extension provides "smart" moldbases and
    mold components that make the job of moldbase design, detailing, and
    creation much faster and easier. Pro/ENGINEER EMX is much more than a
    library of moldbases and components. It is a knowledge-based mold
    assembly and detailing tool created specifically for mold makers. This
    easy-to-use application automatically produces 3D solid models that
    update with changes to design parts, and enables the capture of in-
    house design knowledge that can be reused in subsequent designs.
    Pro/ENGINEER EMX provides smart moldbases and mold components. This
    means that when components are placed, operations such as clearance
    cuts and drilled and tapped holes are automatically performed on the
    appropriate neighboring plates and components, thereby relieving the
    mold designer of time-consuming and repetitive mold detailing tasks.
    Pro/ENGINEER EMX contains a specialized graphical user interface (GUI)
    created specifically for moldbase designers that provides real-time
    previewing before the 3D component or assembly is automatically
    placed. Pro/ENGINEER EMX allows companies to capture their own
    specific design best practices directly within the mold assemblies and
