         Dantz Development 公司最近發表了能配合網際網路運作的 Retrospect
         Server 版，整合了 Retrospect 的功能，以及 Synectics Business
         Solutions公司的“ BackJack”網際網路備份服務。藉著這個軟體的發表
         ，網際網路備份已自成一個新領域，而不僅只是流行的名詞或口號；不過
         距離發展成一項新行業，則還有一段很長的路要走。我使用這類的備份軟
         體已有相當一段時間，現在我想針對如何將「網際網路備份」整合到整個
         資料備份策略的方式，提出一些建議。至於哪一種方式最符合你的需求，
         則要取決於你需要多少的儲存空間（或你有多少預算），以及你的網路連
         線頻寬有多大。

         在任何地點都能透過網際網路存取備份資料（如有必要可事先予以加密處
         理）。這對經常出差的員工很有用。大部分的網路服務提供者（ISP）都
         會隨帳號提供幾個MB大小的磁碟空間，供客戶使用；而很多人都是用這個
         空間來存放他們的網頁。其實只要這個儲存空間能透過FTP來存取，那麼
         利用 Retrospect Server，你就可以把一些重要的檔案備份到網際網路
         的帳號下。

         Retrospect Server Backup provides the power to restore either a single file 
         or an entire hard disk to any computer on the network. There is no better   
         protection for your Windows NT or 2000 Server plus up to 100 desktops,      
         notebooks, and other servers (or more with additional client packs).        
         Install Retrospect on your Windows server or any other Windows computer     
         along with a storage device. Install the clients on the other computers and 
         back up everyone over the network. Installation is quick and easy because   
         Retrospect includes hundreds of customized drivers and dynamically loads    
         the right one for your backup device. Retrospect makes it easy to restore   
         individual files, a complete hard drive (including the registry), or your   
         entire server in a single operation even after multiple incremental         
         backups.                                                                    
         Retrospect's integrated disaster recovery feature simplifies restoring your 
         server by allowing you to boot off a custom disaster recovery CD and        
         restore all the volumes on your server to any point in time. A restore      
         wizard is  provided to guide you through the process.
